Leaders from China Nuclear Industry Huajian Group and the Chinese Nuclear Society visited the Institute for Advanced Study in Nuclear Energy and Safety

On March 28th at 10 a.m., Song Kexiang, the deputy secretary and general manager of China Nuclear Huajin; Shi Qingwei, the secretary general of the Digitalization and System Engineering Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society, visited the Advanced Institute of Nuclear Energy and Safety. They conducted research and discussions on the joint efforts of industry, academia, research, and market development. Liu Yong, dean of the institute, and some faculty members attended the meeting, which took place at the 11th-floor conference room of the Zhizhen Building.

 

Mr. Song Kexiang and Mr. Shi Qingwei first visited the Institute for Advanced Study in Nuclear Energy and Safety, showing great interest in the physical displays and exhibitions about the development of radioactive isotopes and drugs, radiation protection and nuclear safety, new lead-free radiation protection materials, radiation monitoring technology and systems, medical radiation protection, space radiation protection, anti-radiation reinforcement technology, radiation protection equipment and radiation monitoring instruments, and the complete set of technologies and equipment for the treatment of radioactive uranium tailings. Both of them believed that the above achievements have a good prospect for industrial application.

At the symposium, Mr Liu Yong delivered a welcoming speech, providing detailed information on the development history, target orientation, talent introduction, platform construction, and school-enterprise cooperation of the Institute for Advanced Study in Nuclear Energy and Safety.

 

General Manager Song Kexiang pointed out that the purpose of their visit to the Institute for Advanced Study in Nuclear Energy and Safety was to explore the possibility of school-enterprise cooperation in radioactive drugs, nuclear medicine, nuclear equipment technology, nuclear radiation applications, and other fields. He emphasized the need to accelerate the industrialization of high-purity Germanium technology, hoping to join hands with the university to speed up the industrialization process and market-oriented operation in the development of high-purity germanium detectors and materials.

 

Secretary General Shi Qingwei expressed the hope of integrating nuclear technology applications, nuclear digitization, new energy, and other fields to establish the "Chinese Nuclear Society Digitalization and System Engineering Shenzhen Center" in Shenzhen in the future, leveraging the advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to integrate international cooperation into the Shenzhen Center.

In conclusion, Liu Yong expressed his gratitude to China Nuclear Huajin, the Digitalization and System Engineering Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society, and China National Nuclear Corporation for their support, care, and assistance to the Institute for Advanced Study in Nuclear Energy and Safety. He announced that the Institute for Advanced Study in Nuclear Energy and Safety has designated 2023 as the "Year of Social Service," with the aim of increasing cooperation in industry, academia, and research with enterprises, transforming scientific and technological achievements into productivity, and attracting international talents for China National Nuclear Corporation. Only with a determined effort can the Institute for Advanced Study in Nuclear Energy and Safety become stronger and better, satisfying China National Nuclear Corporation, the university, society, and all employees.
