On the afternoon of March 28th, a delegation of six members led by Liu Song, Secretary of International Quantum Research Institute of Shenzhen, and Chen Tingyong, Vice President, visited our school. The Shenzhen International Quantum Research Institute-Shenzhen University Joint Graduate Training Symposium was held in Room 1421 of the Zhiyuan Building, Canghai Campus of Shenzhen University. Liu Yong, Executive Dean of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering; Li Chaohong, Distinguished Professor; Sun Yiling, Vice Dean; Wu Honglei, Vice Dean, etc, attended the symposium.

During the symposium, both sides introduced the attending personnel. Liu Song introduced the overview of the Shenzhen International Quantum Research Institute in terms of its development history, faculty structure, domestic and international exchanges, scientific research, and achievements. He expressed the hope that the institute can fully leverage its platform, with the support of the country, not only to educate more outstanding talents, but also to achieve technological breakthroughs.

Furthermore, Liu Yong warmly welcomed and expressed his gratitude to Liu Song and his team for their visit, and he also appreciated the achievements made by the Shenzhen International Quantum Research Institute. Liu Yong introduced the overview of the institute, and highlighted the research breakthroughs of Professor Li Chaohong and other scholars. He expressed his strong support for the joint training of graduate students, and analyzed the functions of universities and research institutes, hoping that both sides can strengthen cooperation in education, scientific research innovation, joint research and development, and social services, and give full play to their respective strengths to achieve fruitful results.

Finally, they had an in-depth discussions on student education, dual mentorship, academic system and courses. The scholars introduced their research fields, hoping to strengthen academic exchanges and cooperation, cultivate more outstanding graduates for the country and society.
