“CPOE elite, promising future” -- Graduate Recruitment Fair ( 2023,CPOE, SZU): Fruitful Ending

In order to comply with the newest files about employment goals of college graduates (2023) , to promote high-quality and full employment of graduates, to realize “stabilizing employment” and “ensuring employment”, to build a platform for college graduates and employers to choose between each other, to promote effective employment of graduates, and to achieve precise employment, our college held the “CPOE Elite, Promising Future”-- the 2023 Campus Special Recruitment Fair for Graduates of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering at Shenzhen University, on the afternoon of March 31st.

This special recruitment fair received guidance and support from the Student Employment Guidance Center of Shenzhen University. It gathered 17 high-tech enterprises, including Pengxin Micro, Shiyuan Electronics, Guangfeng Technology, and Lianying Laser, providing over 2000 high-quality job positions. Wang Yongcheng (Vice President of Shenzhen University), Lin Bing (Secretary, CPOE), Lin Jilin (Deputy Secretary, CPOE), and Li Huimin (Director of the Student Employment Guidance Center), came to the job fair to provide guidance, communicate with job seekers and employers, and provide suggestions for graduates from Shenzhen University. Nearly 500 graduates from the school participated in the onsite-fair. More than 200 resumes were received at this recruitment fair, with a preliminary agreement rate of nearly 35%. The average salary exceeded 11,000 yuan.

Collaborate between schools and enterprises, create a new atmosphere of employment

School leaders attach great importance to the employment of graduates, establish a school enterprise cooperation platform, and help students receive the information of various employers. At the beginning of the fair, Wang Yongcheng welcomed and thanked the company representatives for their arrival, and highly praised the significance of this offline job fair. Wang inquired about the relevant business of the employer one by one, consulted details on the job positions and benefits, and emphasized continual contact and in-depth dual-communication to provide more employment services for students. Wang Yongcheng not only paid attention to employers, but also focused on the graduates on site. He asked students about their job search progress frequently, encouraged them to submit resumes bravely, and communicated with companies actively.

Lin Bing had a pleasant talk with the representatives participating in the conference on the cooperation intentions between schools and enterprises, such as the employment and entrepreneurship of students, the special action of “visiting enterprises to expand their jobs and promote employment”, and postgraduate training. Lin Jilin said that in order to hold this job fair, CPOE worked comprehensively from the perspectives of graduates during the whole procedures, including inviting enterprises, propagating the event, providing guiding services, to pave ways for graduates to satisfactory careers.

Target invitations to enhance job agreement

     In this job fair, based on the professional characteristics and career orientations of the graduates, CPOE invited 17 enterprises that offered highly relevant job positions, in order to enhance dual-job agreement. During the fair, there was a surge of people and a warm atmosphere in the Zhiyuan Building. Graduates onsite communicated with business representatives actively to fully understand job requirements, and submitted resumes to suitable positions based on their own abilities. All participating enterprises promoted their corporate culture, talked with students about job requirements, salary and benefits, and other concers.

Break through the shackles, rush towards new prospects

Through this job fair, graduates can have a clearer understanding of their strengths and weaknesses to sharo their professional advantages and skills. At the same time, enterprises also meet talents for their special needs, injecting new creative heads into their development. The college will pay attention to the employment situation of students, promote school enterprise cooperation, understand students’ needs, provide more employment opportunities and training resources for them, cooperate with enterprises to implement new employment policies, and achieve the goals of “stable employment” and “guaranteed employment”.
